Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for:

• Supporting robust accounting policy reflecting developing structure of the business;
• Producing management and financial accounting information including statutory accounts and reports for group consolidation;
• Effective and impactful function and integration of the accounting department and staff;
• Implementation of best practices processes and controls;
• Leading  the corporate accounts team, driving value added quantifiable personal and team performance,  and influencing professional development of staff;
• Management of external tax advisory service providers.

Candidate Specifications:

Qualifications:

• Degree level education (Finance or numerate subject preferred)
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred
• SAP experience

Skills:

• IFRS financial accounting and financial statement preparation
• Solid understanding of business processes and controls, ability to analyze and reengineer processes to adapt to new activities
• Ability to analyze holistically the impact of new activities on the company financials and propose optimal accounting solutions
• Proven ability in improving financial performance
• Excellent understanding of the energy industry and marketing and trading activity specifics
• Strong analytical background in order to focus on both short and long-term strategic issues
• Proven project management skills
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills

Experience:

• Considerable accounting experience in the Finance and Energy sector; public accounting experience a plus
• Experience of leading multi-disciplined teams and leading multi-group projects
• Experience working in an international organization with an overseas parent company an advantage
