Role objectives

This position is responsible for developing and supporting the LNG Trading activities of Gazprom Global LNG a wholly owned subsidiary of GM&T. The key task of this role is to continue the successful expansion of the LNG trading business in the Atlantic region and delivery of the business plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of the global LNG trading strategy in line with the overall Gazprom commercial strategy
  • Assist in the risk management of the LNG portfolio
  • Provide trading ideas that will enable delivery of the business plan
  • Effective prioritisation of tasks to achieve targets in line with the business plan
  • Establish new and maintain existing counterparty relationships
  • Support contract negotiations
  • Understand and optimise on optionality in LNG contracts
  • Work within the organizations Trading limits
  • Provide sound analytic advise on portfolio positions
  • Provide input for the development of trading applications and infrastructure
  • Liaise with Front, Middle and Back office with relevant trade information
  • Provide input to ensure that the Trading team has adequate IT systems in place

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven track record in the LNG trading market
  • Excellent understanding of the global energy industry; marketing and trading activity specifics (e.g. system operation, products, customers and counterparties)
  • Excellent analytical skills (good knowledge of energy products a benefit)
  • Good understanding of risk management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with entrepreneurial flair and energy (e.g. able to cope with rapid business growth)
  • Pro-active in achieving results
  • Able to build solid working relationships with other Front, Middle and Back office
  • Good relationship management capabilities
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a cohesive team
  • Diligent and reliable, with superior degree of ethics and integrity
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and make decisions in a pressurised environment

Experience

  • Track record of success in a Trading position within the LNG industry
  • Developed and established key business relationships within the Energy industry

Education

  • Degree level education
