Summary:
The Natural Gas Scheduler will provide gas scheduling/balancing services, and asset analysis/management for a portfolio of GM&T-USA clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Nominate and Schedule various pipelines as assigned
- Ensure that the company is balanced as need be on the pipelines daily, both externally as well as in the risk system
- Act as a liaison between company and pipeline personnel to form strong relationships
- Communicate with traders, pipeline conditions and maintenance effecting markets
- Work with trading and back office to ensure accurate inventory balances w/ pipelines and locations
- Assist in optimization of transportation and storage assets through intraday scheduling and operations updates
- Assist back office with customer deal invoice information gathering
- Work weekends as necessary to ensure pipeline flows
- Train and mentor schedulers in the east region
- Backup other schedulers
- Ability to work independently and add a voice to commercial decisions regarding potential transactions based on past experience
- Work closely with traders implementing daily and monthly trading plan
- Sufficient experience in scheduling
Candidate Specification:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, and other relevant studies, which develop strong analytical and relationship skills, is required
- Five or more years experience in electronic information or problem-solving technical environments in lieu of degree requirement
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions and meet daily time deadlines in a high volume, high-pressure environment
- Able to apply computer skills to job tasks with particular proficiency in Excel, MSWORD and relationship database software systems
- Apply teamwork principles and flexibility in job environment.
