Automated Meter Reading
In March 2008 we acquired an equity stake in TruRead, a leading UK-based automated meter reading supplier. The company’s technologies enable remote reading of meters for gas, electricity and other commodities without human intervention. Customers are able to access the data to measure and manage their energy consumption. Information can be obtained at intervals ranging from half hourly to monthly and can be further enhanced with energy management software.
Our stake in TruRead will help us give our customers a better service, and enable us to offer new products and services both in the UK and globally.
